Tidewater Nature Club began in 2023 (formerly named Navarre + Gulf Breeze Homeschool Nature Group). We (Bridget and Alexa) started it together, both in the early years of our homeschool journey with our oldest kids just 6 and 7 years old. We were drawn to a Charlotte Mason approach to learning, with a focus on nature journaling, living books, and allowing children to learn through real experiences outdoors. From the beginning, our desire was to slow down, build wonder, and help their kids see God revealed in His creation. Our prayer has been that He would open our kids' eyes to notice His beauty and ears to hear His voice through the world around them. A big part of our heart was also community... to walk this journey alongside other families. Looking back, we are so thankful for how God took our simple "YES" and did so much more than we could have imagined, bringing together incredible families and forming lifelong friendships for both moms and kids.
Hi, I'm Bridget. I am a homeschool mom of four, professional bug-finder, part-time trail guide, and full-time believer that kids learn best when they're outside. I started Tidewater Nature Club because I think childhood should include muddy shoes, pockets full of random treasures, lots of questions, and the occasional Florida rainstorm.
